This tiny Georgetown stalwart feels like home. The Dover Sole, quenelles, soft shell crabs and cassoulet on Thursdays are hard to top anywhere. The ambiance is French bistro and the waiters are experienced professionals. When we want a comfortable dining experience at a reasonable price this place is our first choice.

La Chaumière has been a favorite of mine for decades. It continues to be top notch. The food is outstanding, as is the service. Noise level is a little difficult because of the small space, but well worth the effort.

A nice dinner was had at this French "cottage" (rough translation of the name) filled with equestrian memorabilia! A romantic, quaint haven on M Street and at the edge of Georgetown, I felt like I was truly whisked away to a European country inn, so I felt very relaxed and happy.
